Sometimes black and white is just the right combination of colors for a card. I liked the pretty floral pattern, and the black strip was perfect for focusing attention on the intricate butterfly.
The butterfly is one that has been hanging around in my stash for a while. I added a few Nuvo Drops to the body for a little extra dimension.
The sentiment had also been in my collection of sentiments for...well...who knows how long. It seemed perfect for this card, so I popped it up with a little foam tape and added three Nuvo Drops beneath it.
On the inside I stamped a sympathy sentiment. I know that sometimes it's very hard for people to express their sympathy in their own words, so a stamped sentiment gives them a little help.
We had two of our teenage grandkids over for dinner tonight. It is so much fun to talk to them about their dreams for the future and what direction they want to go in the coming years. It reminds me of my high school and college years and how exciting life can be when you're on the brink of adulthood. Remember those days?
Thanks so much for stopping by, and remember to laugh--a little or a lot--every day.

Black and whit is so elegant. Your card is beautiful. that butterfly is the perfect element for the lacy background.
I agree - sometimes black and white is just what a card needs. Great sentiment, and such a pretty butterfly.
Very pretty and love the butterfly - especially with the nuvo drops. Love the sentiment.
LOVELY CARD!
