Let's Craft and Create Challenge #229: Anything Goes or Purple and Green (Option)...

I am excited about warmer days and all the new life that appears around us in springtime. So, happy March, happy Spring, happy, happy everything!

Even though Spring is a busy time, I hope you'll join us for our latest challenge at Let's Craft and Create. This month the challenge is the usual "Anything Goes," but the option is "Purple and Green." Since purple is my favorite color, how could I not go with the option?

Here is the card I created:

I recently purchased the die that cuts the wavy edge treatment. I decided to use it in a different way--as a design element that would run the length of my card. As you can see I backed it with some light purple cardstock to match the die-cut egg,

The scripty sentiment started out as one long, connected sentiment. After die-cutting it, I simply cut it apart so that I could place the words as you see above. Both words were glued directly to the green panel.

I searched through my Easter egg dies to find this two-part design. The darker purple is actually the backside of the lighter purple cardstock.

I die-cut a few leafy sprigs and a white flower to embellish the egg.

The egg was popped up with some thin foam tape, and I added a gem to the flower center for a tiny bit of sparkle.

Just for fun, I decided to use my fancy edge die on the inside of the card, too. I thought it added a nice bit of interest

I like to dress up the inside of my cards whenever I have the time and inclination to do so.

If you'd like some more inspiration, be sure to check out the Design Team's creations here. Then post your project so we can all be inspired by you!

Thanks so much for stopping by, and remember to laugh--a little or a lot--every day.

Cheryl
