A last St. Patrick's Day card and a first Easter card...

My last St. Patrick's Day card (I actually made two of them) featured some heat-embossed fancy four-leaf clovers and shamrocks.

This picture shows the embossing a little better.

I matted the green panel with some gold metallic cardstock, popped it up with foam tape, and then added a gem to the center of each clover and shamrock. Pretty simple.

The sentiment was stamped and die-cut. I added a thin foam strip to the back and tried to place it where it wouldn't cover up too much of the intricate designs.

I printed out a sentiment for the inside with my computer and added a little die-cut shamrock to the top.

This is the first time I've used this shamrock stamp set, so I'm adding this card to Darnell's NBUS Challenge Blog, Challenge #84.

I had some springlike colors of DSP scraps in my stash and three little doilies with a pretty scalloped edge. I cut the DSP so that three equal pieces (1 3/4" X 4") would fit nicely on a card front. I turned them over and taped them together at each seam with a couple pieces of tape. You could also glue them to some copy paper, if you preferred. Then I used a plaid embossing folder to add some texture.

I stamped a sentiment on the doily before adhering it to the card front.

As a final embellishment, I die-cut a tiny bow and added it along with a little orange gem.

I stamped a panel for the inside and matted it with some orange cardstock.

Since I had three little doilies, I made three of these cards. It's a small start on my Easter cards, but at least it's a start!

We are bracing for a big snowstorm this weekend. Since my DH is still dealing with a fractured wrist, I get to do the shoveling. Lucky me!

Thanks so much for stopping by, and remember to laugh--a little or lot--every day.
