For this card, I went to my scraps box to find some pieces of DSP that had at least some green in them. I cut some 1 1/8" wide strips that were 4" long of the leafy green pattern and added these to my card front. Then, I measured the space that was left and cut two striped pieces that were also 1 1/8" wide and just long enough to fill each space.
Then I stamped the image and sentiment with Versamark and heat-embossed them with gold embossing powder. I used a gold pen to color the coins and a green marker to color the four-leaf clover.
I also added two small holographic shamrock stickers for a little shine.
I stamped a sentiment on the inside and added two more shamrock stickers.
For this card, I embossed a narrow piece of green cardstock with a shamrock EF. I glued it to my card front and finished the edge with a gold sticker strip.
Once again, I heat-embossed the image with gold embossing powder. I colored the hat and the clovers with alcohol markers.
After die-cutting the image, I die-cut a larger shape from metallic gold cardstock for the mat.
This sentiment was printed with my computer.
This book binder card was made with an AI image. I thought this little mouse was so cute (I actually made two of these). I added some patterned paper to the "binding" section along with some light green twine, tied in a bow.
A stamped sentiment finished the card.
I think I made at least a dozen St. Patrick's Day cards. All but one of them were donated to the thrift store, and, surprisingly, they all sold quickly. It makes me happy to think that folks are sending St. Patrick's Day cards, or any other kind of card, for that matter. In this age of texting and instant messaging, it takes an extra effort to send a card. Kudos to those people who do!
