Celebrate your special day...

The purpose for making this card was to use one of the blue flower stickers in my stash. I like to place them on a piece of white cardstock and then die-cut them. Running them through my Big Shot helps to embed the sticker onto the die-cut piece.

I cut a 4" X 5 1/4" panel of blue patterned DSP and then cut a V-shaped section out of it as you see in the photo above. I didn't measure where to cut, I just eyeballed it. I backed the two resulting pieces of DSP with some white cardstock for some nice contrast and then glued this to my card front.

I adhered the die-cut circle with its flower image to the narrow end of the V-shaped cutout, popping it up with foam squares.

I stamped the sentiment on the exposed white area with dark blue ink. Since there were gold accents on the sticker image. I added three tiny die-cut gold hearts.

On the inside, I stamped a sentiment and an image at the top that was from another stamp set. Since the image had a heart in the center, I added another one of those tiny gold hearts.

I like the way this card turned out, and I wish I  had made several more of them. I have four different sets of the flower stickers, each set in a different color. It would have been fun to make similar cards with each of them. It seems I only think of these mass production ideas after I have put all the supplies away!

Thanks so much for stopping by, and remember to laugh--a little or a lot--every day.

Cheryl
