This card is a fun fold, and I think this is the first time I've made this particular one.
I started by grabbing a white A2 cardbase and cutting off half of the front diagonally as you see above.
I adhered a 4 1/8" X 5 3/8" piece of gold cardstock to the inside. I also cut a 4" X 5 1/4" piece of DSP, cut that in half diagonally (top left corner down to bottom right corner) and adhered the left piece to the triangular portion of my card front. The leftover triangular piece was chucked into my scraps box.
Finally, I cut a piece of dark blue cardstock that measured 3 1/4" X 8" and scored it at 4". After folding it on the scoreline, I adhered it to the center of the gold cardstock on the inside, making sure I had the fold at the top.
As you can see in the photo above, I decorated the front of this smaller card with some die-cuts: a white coin-edge rectangle, and a dark blue "You Did It!" with a gold shadow. I also glued on a few holographic stars that I had in my stash.
When you lift up the flap of the small card, this is what you see.
I added a 3" X 3 3/4" white panel to the inside of the small card on which I had stamped a sentiment and glued three more stars.
This card was surprisingly quick to make. If you've never made this fun fold, I recommend it!
I'm always on the lookout for something different and fun to make. I especially enjoy giving my grandkids fun fold cards.
Thanks so much for stopping by, and remember to laugh--a little or a lot--every day.
Cheryl
