...because they dumped about a FOOT of snow on us last night! Here are a few pics to show you the result.
This picture was taken from the walk in front of our house and looking south down our street.
This is the front of our house. Most of the snow you see is from last night, and, yes, we shoveled the walks and the driveway this morning. Luckily, it wasn't heavy, wet snow, but rather the light, fluffy stuff.
A little closer view of the house. My poor little trees in the pots on either side of our steps! They can barely handle all the snow.
The back patio tends to drift in, so it gets really deep in the back of the house. It was my job to shovel this area, while my DH worked on the front walks.
This is a look at the back yard from our back door. See those little birdhouses way in the back?
The roofs of these little habitats will be well insulated with those mounds of snow! It should be pretty cozy inside. The vines you see on the trellis behind are our Concord grape vines. We get wonderful jelly (marmalade for my readers in Europe) from those grapes.
Well now you know how I spent the first part of my morning. That was my exercise program for the day!
Thanks so much for stopping by, and remember to laugh--a little or a lot--every day.

Looks lovely Cheryl... but you're very welcome to it (and I hope it doesn't overstay it's welcome!)
Very disappointed not to see a snowman in your photo! Heeee, we so rarely get good snow over here that it's the first thing we do ;)
Yikes Cheryl! Your photos bring back memories of all the snow I had to shovel when living in Buffalo! YUK! Sending you sunny thoughts from Phoenix :)
BEAUTIFUL - and the pictures are awesome. We have had very little snow here in southern MO. this winter so it is nice of you to share your pictures - and pictures are all you need to share. LOL
