I made a few shaker Valentines to donate this year and this is one of them. It's a simple design but took a little doing.
I didn't have a die for a heart frame, so I just took two heart dies, one a little larger than the other, taped them together and used them to cut my frame. I cut five or six such frames and stacked them to get enough depth.
I happened to have some tiny heart confetti in my stash, and that's what I used for the filler.
The sentiment was printed with my computer and popped up on thin strips of foam tape.
This shaker card used up some scraps. I had the striped piece sitting on my work bench and decided to figure out a way to use it on this card. The two white hearts were the negative pieces from cutting a couple of the frames, so I added them, too.
I made this shaker the same way as on the previous card. They take a little time to glue all the pieces together, but they add such a fun element to any card.
This is the computer-generated sentiment that I put on the inside of each card. I think it's a fun one.
I have mailed all of the Valentines I made for family members. It always feels good to get cards in the mail once they are made. I hope the recipients enjoy them!
Thanks so much for stopping by, and remember to laugh--a little or a lot--every day.
Cheryl
