I decided to make some get well cards to donate and to use up some scraps and stickers in the process.
I had a leftover piece of cardstock that was green on top and patterned on the bottom, as you see above. I cut a piece to fit an A2 cardbase and adhered it. I die-cut the scripty sentiment, and as a last embellishment, I added a dimensional buttefly sticker.
For this card, I cut a piece marbly-looking DSP to fit my A2 cardbase. It seemed too plain to me, so I cut the swirly borders from some scraps that were the same cardsotck I had used for the base. Then I die-cut a circle, added a die-cut sentiment to it and a few gems and popped it up on the center of my card.
When I was looking through my stickers for the butterfly on the first card, I ran across these two stitched flower stickers. I thought they'd work well for a get well card, especially since I had this DSP that was the perfect backdrop. I cut a funky border to anchor the flowers and add some interest.
After die-cutting my label, I stamped the sentiment, popped it up on foam tape and then added the flowers and three gems.
I added a stamped sentiment on the inside of each card and they were done!
We went to Costco yesterday (we hadn't been there since before Christmas) and the place was a complete madhouse. There were so many customers that it was difficult to push your cart through the store, and the checkout lines were really long! I have to hand it to the cashiers, though; they are really FAST! We got through the line and checked out in just under 20 minutes. I don't think my ice cream melted too much. lol.
Thanks so much for stopping by, and remember to laugh--a little or a lot--every day.
Cheryl
