This is such a simple design, but I really love it.
I made a few of these and used some different background papers. In the photo above, you can see two of the papers I used.
The leafy heart die-cut is unbranded. I think it's such a great image for an adult Valentine. Once I had it glued down, I brushed each of the leaves with a Wink of Stella brush and added some sequins for a little sparkle.
My sentiment was heat embossed onto a strip of black cardstock, and I fishtailed the ends. Finally, I popped it up with foam tape and adhered it onto my die-cut.
I die-cut an extra leafy heart, which I cut apart so I could add a leafy branch on the inside of each of my cards, along with a stamped sentiment.
I worked on cards most of the day today. I tried my hand (again) at coloring some larger flower images. I'll be sharing those cards soon and hope you'll let me know what you think of them and how you think I might improve my coloring techniques. I'd love to get better at it and do more coloring for my cards.
Thanks so much for stopping by, and remember to laugh--a little or a lot--every day.

What a pretty die, and I love how it looks over the patterned paper. I like the black sentiment piece, too.
Very pretty Valentine's. Love the leafy heart. This design is so versatile it can be used for any occasion. That leave accent on the inside is just the right touch.
Oh so clever Cheryl, fab idea to place your leaves in a heart shape and such pretty DP too.
What a beautiful die, and love the heart arrangement. I really like the little snippet of die you used on the inside.
