Halloween card for a new driver...

My 16-year-old granddaughter got her driver's license this past May, so I thought this might be an appropriate Halloween card for her:

I die-cut my witch and spider web, created a sentiment on my computer and added a few orange Nuvo Drops.

I think you can tell in this photo that my witch is popped up on foam squares for some added dimension.

My inside sentiment was also computer-generated, using the "Chiller" font.

It is Halloween night as I type this, and the trick or treaters have been coming to our door pretty steadily. It's fairly cold out--near freezing temps--but that doesn't seem to phase them. I'm just glad it's not snowing!

So now we enter the build-up to Thanksgiving and then Christmas. Time to start working on gifts and holiday decorations. Didn't I just put them all away a couple of months ago? Time sure flies...whether I'm having fun or not. But most of the time (nearly all the time, really), I'm having a lot of fun.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and remember to laugh--a little or a lot--every day.
Cheryl

How cute and so appropriate for a new driver. I am going to file this away for next year as my granddaughter will get her license next spring. That spicer web is cool.

That is such a great card for a teenager! The witch looks pretty sassy with her pose. I love it....and that sentiment is perfect! My husband wanted all the grandkids to learn to drive a stick shift but not sure that ever happened.

Thanks for the lovely surprise through the post this morning, I know I'll use these loads xx

PS meant to say, we'd the sum total of 5 knocks to the door on Halloween!! It was a drab damp old night and I reckon most of the kiddies must have stayed home.

What a fabulous card for a new driver, Cheryl! I bet she loved it - so personalized for her. Boy are you right - time is really, really going to fly between now and Christmas. We have so much going on!

How cute - and yes I think everyone should learn how to drive a stick. That is what I learned on - and still love to drive but most cars are automatic now. I know your grand daughter loved her card.
Our Halloween evening was cold and rainy - but we don't get any one here, our subdivision is VERY dark, no street lights (we aren't in the city limits) and most houses sit a bit off the main road. Darn I have to eat the bag of goodies I always buy.
