Sit back, relax and enjoy your day...
This is a birthday card for my brother-in-law, whose birthday was in late June. I used a large woodgrain stamp to create the main panel for the front of my card, which was eventually popped up with foam tape.
Once I had stamped my panel, I cut an oval shape out of it. Then I went to work on my little scene.
First I blended some distress inks to create the colors of my background. Once that was done, I stamped the tree (Stampin' Up) with brown ink. I also used some ProMarkers to add a little shading beneath my tree.
The clouds were cut with Impression Obsession dies. I added some shading to them with a gray alcohol marker.
The chair and flipflops (unbranded) were cut twice and adhered together to give them a little more dimension and stability.
Happy Birthday was computer generated.
I love these little flipflops. They're VERY tiny, but make a nice little embellishment on a card.
As with all my masculine cards, I kept the inside simple. This one has a computer-generated sentiment.
I will be posting quite a few birthday cards in the coming weeks. We have SO MANY family birthdays in July and August. Right now, I need to get busy on birthday cards for my twin daughters. Their birthday is coming up very soon!
Thanks so much for stopping by, and remember to laugh--a little or a lot--every day.
Cheryl

What a great "guy" card! Yes, those flip flops are teeny tiny!
Great masculine card. Makes you want to relax and enjoy for sure.
Awesome guy card - and I think the simple sentiment inside is perfect. I never know what to say in a man card. The flip flops are just too cute.
BUT - I am tired of sitting back and relaxing. I am back in my craft room for short periods of time no marathons but enough to satisfy the creative side. Still a ways to go with the shoulder - in fact the surgeon is not 100% sure the ball is in the socket but going to PT and working my rear off at home. Good to be back and able to comment.
Oooh what a gorgeous sunset background you created Cheryl, and those flip flops are so cute!
