Believe it or not, I've been working on a few Christmas cards for 2018 before I put all my Christmas supplies away. I'm not going to show those to you today, though. Instead, I want to share a little "Hello" card I made.
I had some pretty dotted paper that even included some glittery dots. I searched through my scraps to see if I had a close match to any of the colored dots and came up with a pretty green.
I die-cut a cute little bow using an unbranded die set that includes the dies for three sizes of bows. This was the middle size.
Notice that I trimmed my green strip to make it look as though it is a ribbon tied at the point of the bow.
I also die-cut my "hello" from this same green CS using another unbranded die.
Three enamel dots from my stash finished off my card.
We had a great Christmas, but it has been really, really cold. I hate the thought of having to go outside when it's double digits below zero!!
I think we will have a quiet New Year's celebration at home. Maybe a little glass of wine, a nice meal and a fire in the fireplace. Sounds good, doesn't it?
Thanks so much for stopping by, and remember to laugh--a little or a lot--every day! And Happy New Year to all of you!!
Cheryl

Fun card. I love polka dots and with sparkle, what could be better. I'm with you on the cold. But I need to quite complaining about single digits above zero. I can't imagine how cold double digits below zero would be. Enjoy your wine and fireplace. Happy New Year. May it be a fun crafty one.
Wow Cheryl, I'm so impressed that you're ahead of the game for next year already! This is lovely, I've a wee bow die that I hardly ever use so this is a great idea for it!
I see I've missed loads on your blog! Glad to hear you had a good Christmas. Your New Year plans sound much the same as my own :)
Love your Hello card - bright cheery colors and that boy just tops it off.
I put my Christmas supplies away (but still accessible). Ready to start on Valentine cards - in fact getting together with a couple of friends tomorrow and one of my projects is a Valentine. Happy New Year - we "had" plans with another couple to come here for New Years eve but his wife called a bit ago and he is in ICU with the flu. So a glass wine, a fire, and watch the ball drop in New York.
What a great design, Cheryl! Simple, but full of fun, and schparkle!! Love the pp, the bow, the hello, and the touch of matching colored bling!! Happy New Year!! Hugs, Darnell
This is bright and fun and reminds me of Smarties! Such a cheery card Cheryl! Sorry I haver been remiss in my visits and comments of late, but mum has kept me on my toes! I am hoping to do better in 2018 . . . well, at least I will try! I hope that 2018 brings health and happiness to you and your loved ones! Love & Hugs. Hazel xx
