I cut a panel from each of four different patterned papers that measured 3 5/8" X 4 7/8". I stacked them and cut them all at once the long way into two pieces that measured 1 1/4" X 4 7/8" and 2 3/8" X 4 7/8".
I cut about 1 1/4" off the bottoms of the narrower pieces and about 2" off the tops of the wider pieces. I honestly didn't measure--I just eyeballed it and cut them all at once Now that each panel was cut into four pieces, I shuffled them so that each card front would have pieces from all four paper patterns.
I glued the patterned pieces to white panels that measured 4" X 5 1/4", keeping them separated by 1/8". Then I glued these panels to my A2 cardfronts.
Finally, I grabbed my arched rectangle dies, a sailboat die set and a "Seas the Day!" sentiment die.
I layered two of the arched rectangles and assembled and glued on the sailboat. Lastly, I added the die-cut sentiment before gluing the entire thing to a cardfront. I didn't pop anything up to keep these easy to mail.
The only embellishment I added was the gold dimensional dots on the sailboat, made with a Viva Decor pen.
The inside sentiments were printed with my computer.
I really love getting four cards made in short order--especially when they're masculine cards. Wish I had a few more layout ideas like this one that are easily made in multiples.
We were supposed to get an inch or so of snow on Wednesday night, but we got 7" instead. It was heavy stuff to shovel, too! Spring can't come soon enough.
Thanks so much for stopping by, and remember to laugh--a little or a lot--every day.
