Intricate Christmas ornament card...

I have this pretty ornament die and made quite a few cards with it this year.  It cut beautifully, but it took some patience to get the excess pieces out of the die each time. However, it was worth it!

I cut the finial (the top hanger piece) from silver metallic cardstock.

To finish it off, I added a ribbon bow and some clear and red gems to the centers of the snowflakes.

The sentiment was stamped, die-cut and popped up with foam tape.

On the inside, I added a stamped sentiment and a few stamped snowflakes.

I have all the holiday gifts bought, most of them wrapped, and those that needed to be mailed have already arrived at the intended addresses. The cards were mailed last week and I am now finishing up the baking.

I've made cinnamon almonds and five different kinds of cookies, so far. I will make just a few more. The peanut blossoms dough is made and ready to bake today, and I will still make gingersnaps, orange teasers, butter tarts and, possibly, krumkake. I need to make a plethora of cookies because we share with half a dozen neighbors and our local family members.

This is when I appreciate Minnesota's cold winters. They make it possible for me to store all those goodies in the unheated back porch!

Thanks so much for stopping by, and remember to laugh--a little or a lot--every day.

Oh wow, That ornament die is gorgeous. I'm not a big fan of ornaments but this one is really beautiful. I love the contrast with the dark background. The gems are a standout. No baking going on here. We are traveling for the holidays.

That is a very beautiful ornament for sure, Cheryl!! Gorgeous. Such a pretty card. Congrats on being so prepared! What a lot of baking. We bake nothing, but get stuff from others. :-) I'm still waiting for packages to arrive. Some are late, so I'm just crossing my fingers.

The first thing I said when I opened your blog and saw this card was "oooo"! It's SO pretty. I think it's the blue background that just sets it all off. The red and clear rhinestones are a fabulous touch. Such a stunning card. Kudos to you on all of that baking. I haven't done any yet, though I don't plan to do a lot. The gifts are bought and wrapped. The are in paper bags in the closet because the cat will chew on the corners. He's such a gift himself! LOL The cards went out just after Thanksgiving. So it's down to the baking and cleaning up before family arrives.

What a BEAUTIFUL die - and I can see where patience is required to get all the little pieces punched out. All the cookies sound yummy. I baked cookies last Monday - oatmeal, chocolate chip, and pecan balls. Thinking about making up 1/2 batch of sugar cookies tomorrow as they are sons favorite. Merry Christmas.
