Hey, chick...

Here are a couple of cards I made for my granddaughters. I used a Sizzix Circle Flip-it die set to make the card base and cut the patterned paper. "Hey, chick" was stamped with Versamark, heat-embossed with white EP and popped up on foam squares.

The starburst circle is an old Spellbinder's die and the chick die set is unbranded.

I did a little inking on the chick to give it a bit more dimension.

Here's a peek at the card when it's completely opened. As you can see, the circle has "flipped" to the other side, where I've stamped "Happy Easter," and I still have room to sign the card.

I've made a lot of cards with this die set over the years. They're quick and fun and can be used for lots of occasions.

Today was warm and very spring-like. I checked my front flower beds and noticed some of the flowers are beginning to poke their noses through. I think they're a little afraid to come out of the ground too far just yet. I remember one year when our last snowfall was in MAY!

Thanks so much for stopping by, and remember to laugh--a little or a lot--every day.

These are so cute. I love the chicks hiding under the eggs. Your granddaughters will love these. They are fun to open and see the surprise inside.

So cute and nicely done, Cheryl! Love the cute chicks. I think I have some die-cut pieces in my stash that are similar, that I cut when a friend was over here a few years ago. I should check them out.

Heee these are fun Cheryl, love your happy papers too!
It's great to see the garden starting to come to life - some of our tulips are starting to show their blooms, just need a wee bit of sunshine to bring them on now!

O wow, these cards are wonderful! what a clever design and love those little chicks and bet your granddaughters will too! Those papers are perfect for spring too. I agree with you with regards to the weather and think we are all hoping the spring will bring some sun, warm days and enable us to get outside and enjoy it. Take care and have a great weekend Michelle x

Love those cute chickens. And the die set is adorable. Yesterday was 75 and now today the high was 53, can never tell with weather especially in Missouri. Our oak trees have yet started budding. We have the Bradford Bear, dogwood and flowering crab have bloomed but no trees in the woods yet.
