Happy birthday, gorgeous...

I made this card using a cut file from Dreaming Tree and my Silhouette Cameo. It was easy to cut out and fairly quick to put together. You can find the cut file here.

I cut the flowers out of white, shimmery cardstock and used a blending brush to add a bit of purple ink to the petals. I molded the petals with a stylus to give them a bit of dimension and then popped the top petals up with tiny foam squares.

The flower centers feature a small, gold starburst shape and a pink gem.

Because so much of the inner panel was exposed, even when the card was closed, I used a decorative background die to add some texture and design. I love how this looks! I did stamp my sentiments first, though, because I wasn't sure they'd stamp well after I had added the design.

This card has gone to my oldest granddaughter, who's birthday is today. She's very fashionable and lives in New York City, so I think this card is perfect for her.

I received my second COVID vaccination shot yesterday. I had some mild side affects today, but nothing serious. I had a minor headache and some body aches. A few ibuprofen took care of them, and I feel fine now. I'm so happy to be fully vaccinated. In celebration, my husband and I and his business partner (we're all vaccinated) went out for dinner to an actual restaurant that has limited seating. It was so much fun! We had a good time at dinner solving all the world's problems. Ha!

Thanks so much for stopping by, and remember to laugh--a little or a lot--every day.

Perfect card for your fashionable chic granddaughter. Perfect for you too since the shoe is purple! Love the gold accents with the purple. The embossing on the inside was a great idea. It reflects the gold swirl trim on the shoe. Isn't it a relief to have the vaccine? Eating in restaurants was the thing we missed the most. I told my husband we have a lot of making up to do for the year we missed.

Oh WOW Patti, this is a stunner and I love how the shoe is the star of the show with your clever layout!
So glad you've had your 2nd jab, I'm for my first on Friday - bet your meal tasted good, it feels like such a long time since I was out anywhere!!!

What a cool card, Cheryl! I bet your granddaughter just loved it!! We had our second shots on Wednesday and had no side effects at all. Doesn't it feel great?? We are so looking forward to many things - eating out, having friends over, hugging ... The list goes on! :) I hope to see you again soon.

This is a gorgeous card and love the flowers and swirls that adorn it. What a wonderful card for your Granddaughter. I'm glad to read that you have had both of your vaccinations and that you are fine now. Take care, Michelle x

What a great card for a "chic" grand daughter living in New York City. Love the flower centers. We have been celebrating here as well with 2 and done or even Johnson 1 and done. We have been "out" to eat twice since we have been vacinnated, very liberating.
