I know, I know, Valentine's day is over, but...

I still wanted to share these Valentines that I made for my sisters.

I got this pretty heart flourish die by Impression Obsession at the thrift store where I volunteer. It cuts beautifully and is quite large, so not much else is needed for the front of my card.

I did add a lacy border which was cut with an unbranded die. The colored cardstock beneath the lacy border was adhered to the inside of the card, and then I rounded the two bottom corners.

Here's a little closer look at one of the cards.

And a peek at the inside of the purple one.

It has been so snowy here! Look at this poor little tree on one side of my front step. It's bending under the weight of the snow. And you can see the depth of the snow next to the walk. I took this photo after I had spent two hours clearing the snow from the walks with a snow blower and shovel. I was worn out by the time I was done, as I also cleared the front walks of our neighbors on both sides.

Even though it was cold and snowy outside, I had a little bit of spring-like color on the inside. My amaryllis was in full bloom! This is the second winter I have gotten this particular amaryllis bulb to bloom. That's a first for me! I've never before gotten one to bloom a second time. Now I'm going to try my hardest to make it three years in a row. If you are able to get amaryllis bulbs to bloom multiple times, I'd love a few tips.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and remember to laugh--a little or a lot--every day.
Cheryl

These are beautiful. I love the flourishes and lacy border. Perfect for your sisters. I can't offer any help on plants and flowers. Definitely do NOT have a green thumb.

Oh, the valentines are so pretty, Cheryl! It's hard to capture how much snow there is in a picture, isn't it? I took pictures of our street, but it just doesn't show much snow there really is!! Your amaryllis is beautiful!

Ohhh your pretty lacy Valentines are just lovely! I think its fab how y'all in the US send so many cards, we just send to our beloved (or sneaky ones through the mail to your kids) so I make a total of One card per year!
I'm sure you are well fed up of your snow, don't mean to croon but we're expecting a 'heat wave' this weekend and its supposed to be nearly Tshirt weather, we'll see how that goes!

Oh beautiful - from the flourish to the border. And you found the stamp at the second hand store - what a lucky find. I have no green thumb or green finger - so have no advice - but your flower is beautiful. So much snow, we are in Missouri so I don't think we have had that much - but we have ice - sleet- etc. How sweet for you to do the neighbors walk as well.

Darn I think I might have lost my comment - if not you get a second - love the flourish as well as the die - and you found the stamp at the second hand store - what a find. How sweet of you to help the neighbors out. We have had a lot of snow but nothing like you have.
