Let's Craft and Create Challenge #118: Halloween/Autumn/Fall...

Today we're jumping into a new challenge over at Let's Craft and Create, and it's on my favorite card-making subject: Halloween! I just love making Halloween cards. I'm not sure why that is, but I think it may be because of all the fun imagery, intense colors and fun sentiments.

Here's my card for our October challenge:

Isn't this a fun card? It will be going to one of my grandkids, and I think they'll enjoy receiving it.

First, I used a Sizzix side-step card die to cut my card base and my decorative panels. Then, I began to search through my Halloween stickers to see what I could find to embellish my scene.

The glittery bats were originally eyeless, so I gave them each a couple of spooky white eyes with a white pen.

The "Trick-or-Treat" is a dimensional sticker left over from a couple of years ago. I thought it fit in perfectly.

My black picket fence was cut with a Darice die. It was just the right size for this card.

The tree is a Spellbinders die. Do you see the bronze and orange sequins at the base of the tree? I thought they looked a bit like fallen leaves, while adding a little bling.

My cat was made with a Hampton Art stamp and die set. It's been heat embossed onto yellow CS and then die cut. I think the yellow shadow around it highlights it nicely.

My glittery pumpkin stickers were picked up at Michael's. They did not have brown stems, nor did they have any backing (you could see through the holes for the eyes and mouth), so I colored the stems with a marker and backed each of them with some yellow CS before adhering them in place.

I kept my inside pretty simple--just another dimensional sticker and a few punched bats.

Now you need to head over to Let's Craft and Create to see what the rest of the design team have come up with. You're going to love their Halloween projects!!! Then post your own creation onto the LCC site for a chance to win a fun prize. I can't wait to see how you use our inspiration for your own creation.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and remember to laugh--a little or a lot--every day.
Cheryl
