My little camera started out as a black and white clipart image that I found online. Using my Silhouette software, I traced the image, divided it into layers and cut it out of black, gray and silver mirror cardstock.
It was actually a lot of fun figuring out what color each layer should be and then cutting it out with the Silhouette Cameo.
I fussy-cut a piece of vellum for the camera "lens" and punched out a heart to put on top of it.
Part of my sentiment (You make me...) was computer-generated. The word "smile" is actually some white sparkly alphabet stickers I had in my stash.
Once again, I kept my inside very simple, as this Valentine was for a grandson. Can't have too many hearts for the boys!
Well, the verdict is in on my computer, and it is definitely deceased with no hope for reviving it (unless I want to pay more money than I paid for it in the first place!). That means I will be getting a new laptop - and SOON, I hope.
I've been doing some research online, trying to figure out what will meet my needs and my bank account. Any suggestions? I want something small (12-14 inches) so that it is portable for traveling. I'm also looking for at least 8 GB of RAM and decent resolution (at least 1920 X 1090). If you have a laptop you love, please let me know. I'd appreciate it SO much!
Thanks so much for stopping by, and remember to laugh--a little or a lot--every day.

LOVE this Cheryl! Playing in the Silhouette studio is so much fun!
Super cute card Cheryl! I love the shimmery details on the camera!
So cute. Great job on making the camera. As for a computer, I am coming to love my MacBook. I have the larger one but they do come with a 13" screen. I decided on that because my kids both use one and recommended it highly. One of the great stats about it Is they are much more secure from viruses as compared to a PC. Also it interfaces with my iPhone via the Cloud drive.
Love your camera - and the vellum lens is perfect. You do so well with your Silhouette. A friend just got a Brothers cut and scan. She loves hers. I bought a HP last year after my long time standby of 8+ years got ancient, but was still going fairly well - ok had some ches and pains. Love my HP and havehadno problem at all with it. This is the first HP i have ever had but would buy another one.
Oooh that's so cool Cheryl, your Silhouette sounds like great fun!
Nope, no point asking me what laptop to buy, mine's on it's way out too - I'll probably just go and ask 'the man' in the shop what I need!
Cheryl, what a fabulous card. Love all the ways you added the mirror paper, veluum and of course the heart to make it look like a real camera. I have a sizzix die that makes one that is very much like yours. Bet your Grandson got a kick out of it.
Hugs
Sue
